Encouraging test results from first Oman well
Oilex has received promising results so far from the first well in its drilling programme in Oman, which forms part of the company's diverse international programme. Despite testing difficulties, the results have demonstrated the existence of moveable oil that will be followed up by further testing. Multi-well programmes are currently under way in Oman and India, targeting mature, relatively low-risk targets. In all, Oilex's combined programme will see the drilling of 17 wells within five separate project areas during 2008.
